Then one day in your Dorm room you people might get too close, like close-close, after eating Apsara’s(restaurant) special Dum-aloo Biriyani along with two chilled b**rs! (Sounds fun, right? Yes!)
Then she vomits on you while ki*sing!
Yuck! Tragic! Right?
Anyway, this was Love and thousand things like this happened all along. For a brief period of time our life was as smooth as a Smoothie or say like some stupid rom-com flick, Heaven in Hell indeed! But then again the same old theory kicks in, “happiness doesn’t last forever!”

About the author:
Debarath Das is a student of English Literature and hails from the beautiful Northeastern Hilly State of India, Tripura. Born in a Bengali family in the 90’s, he pursued his schooling from Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Udaipur. He has always been into exploration of words and lives since his younger days. Through all the crest and troughs of life, Das has always had enthusiasm of conveying the bliss and challenges of life through a differently indifferent way of storytelling.
My take on the book:
The story starts in 2013 when Debarath is in Eleventh standard and was getting treated for a sudden illness. On one such visit to hospital while waiting for the doctor’s call and getting bored, he browses through his FB feed and starts making friends with Tina. Once back in school, their friendship flourishes further until the day when Tina suddenly gets all too friendly with Sawrab. Heartbroken, Debarath leaves for Kota; what does life has in store for him there as he meets Misha forms the rest of the story.
As the story tagline ‘Days of my Teenage’ implies, this is the story of a handful of teenagers and the rollercoaster ride that is their life during teenage years. The title is catchy, so is the cover which is simple yet impressive and hints at the love triangle the story is about. The language and narration style are simple and apt for beginners. For a debut novel, the author does a decent job, however the book could have been better with better editing, as the concept is good.
Pick this one for a light, fun read this summer.
